Wolstencroft Reserve

Description

Wolstencroft Reserve is a suburban/township level open space designed to cater for people living within a two kilometre radius (or a 25 minute walk) and for people who use the Back Creek walking and cycling trail. This exciting plan features the following: A path network with a main path from Havlin Street East to the corner of Rodney and Wolstencroft Streets with secondary loops for exercising and linking elements. A main social space including a large paved area with shelter, seating, drinking water and bike parking. Expansion of the existing playspace, with an adventure play focus, to cater for all ages with seating area. Relocation and design of a junior pump track with new seating area. Development of a centrally located “lookout” observation point with seating and connection to the playspace via climbing and sliding elements. Open lawn areas for informal sports and activities.
